Facebook Instagram, Messenger, and soon in VR, the Meta avatar store is coming today to Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and soon in VR
Last week it was announced Meta Avatars Store, a store where you can customize the 3D avatars of Meta that are used in Horizon Worlds and games like ForeVR Bowl, dressing them with clothes and accessories from well-known fashion brands. From today this store will be available for Instagram Facebook and Messenger, but to see them in VR we will still have to wait a little.
The first designs for these avatars belong to fashion houses Balenciaga, Prada and Thom Browne. It is not yet known what it will cost us to dress our virtual self in haute couture brand clothes, but it has been leaked that the price range will be between 3 and 9 dollars. If we don’t want to spend money on customizing the look of our avatar, there will still be a wide variety of free costumes and accessories.
The sale of clothing and fashion accessories is one of the first forms of monetization that will be used to make economically sustainable the creation of virtual worlds, of the metaverse, a method imported directly from the world of video games, where for years the sale of skins for characters or weapons triumphs.
