Updated Mapbox satellite imagery. There is almost the whole world
Mapbox updated 135 million square kilometers of satellite images from all over the world, wrote about this in Facebook Yury Mill. “Uncovered” remained only a part of Antarctica and Greenland.
Mapbox CEO Eric Gundersen said in the company blog that the data coming to them from satellites Maxar WorldView. Each unit collects so many images that it would be enough to cover the whole of France.
Eric Gundersen promises that users will now be able to see on the maps a road marking, count the cars and look inside buildings under construction. Images are published in real time. It is planned that the team will finish this work by early January.
