The Lightning AR app creates a pink fireball
Take advantage of the power of light with AR
The technical director of HoloForge Interactive, created a demo with a pink flash effect that gives you the opportunity to play with it with your hands
The experimental demo was created on the Unity game engine and runs on the iPhone with LiDAR, which currently includes the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd and 3rd generation) and iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th and 5th generation). It turns out that by connecting your fingers, you can create a ball of illumination that can be launched forward with a simple movement of the wrist.
With a simple swipe of your fingers, you can control virtual energy in the palm of your hand with an impressive level of precision. The effect of the fireball on the real environment is also very impressive. As soon as the ball comes into contact, it dissipates into a thin electric current that runs up and down the edges of the object, leaving behind a warm pink glow.
“Thanks to depth sensors and machine vision, we can create a digital double of the hand and its surroundings in real time to create a three-dimensional environment in which virtual and real objects interact easily,” Gogel said on LinkedIn. “Spatial understanding is what makes AR unique.
An experimental demo can be downloaded for free via Github.
