Analyst firm SuperData, which monthly reports on the sales of digital games, summed up the 2020. Last year the income from the “numbers” have increased by 12% compared to 2019, reaching 139.9 billion dollars due to pandemic coronavirus.

Shareware games brought most of digital income — 98.4 billion, or 78% of the total, which is 9 % higher than last year.

Despite a smaller share (24.5 billion dollars), the games premium demonstrated greater growth in their sales figure rose by 28% relative to 2019.
Also in 2020 the mobile games market grew by 10% and amounted to 58 % of the total market of digital games.
Digital games and interactive media earned a record $139.9 B in 2020 worldwide as audiences flocked to gaming to socialize virtually.

SuperData expects that in 2021-m digital market will grow by 2 % to 142 billion dollars.
