Oculus Rift, the virtual reality mask that was worth two billion

Anthony Morel returns, in his column Culture Geek, on the acquisition of the company Oculus VR by Facebook. The social network created once again the surprise by buying for two billion dollars the Oculus Rift, a virtual reality headset intended mainly for video games. Equipped with a gyroscope and accelerometer, this mask allows you to fully immerse yourself inside a game. And just like Mark Zuckerberg’s company, the British retail group Tesco wants to go beyond the scope of video games and imagine, for example, a virtual store, with shelves in pixels from which you can pick products.
