Larcenauts is a first-person shooter

Impulse Gear presents its shooter, available now for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift headsets, offering you to choose the role of one of eight different heroes who explore the dangerous sector of the Ludus galaxy.

You can choose to become:  a giant intelligent mushroom with a pair of incredibly destructive fists, an accurate sniper, an alien medic with powerful healing abilities, and so on

You can participate in 6-on-6 multiplayer shootouts in four unique arenas, each with its own unique location and combat tactics that you need to master. Each of these arenas is unique in its own way, largely due to the thoughtful design with high detail and drawing. As in any good shooter for heroes, the game has many game modes in which you can compete. This includes Refuel (capturing key territories on the map), Uplink (a futuristic approach to capturing the flag) and, of course, the classic Team Deathmatch.

As mentioned earlier, each character has its own unique abilities that need to be mastered. Kalima, for example, is a Spy class character who is able to set up a smoke screen and rush around the map at an incredible speed. VOD, on the other hand, is the fighter who is most effective in melee combat, using his “Capture” and “Mushroom” abilities to get close to enemies and cause huge damage with his powerful fists. Unlike virtual reality action movies centered around nameless soldiers, each hero is unique. And for greater effect, it has its own voice and voice acting. However, in order to properly use each of these specialists, you need to spend a decent amount of time studying their individual abilities.

In addition to opening new modules and weapon sets, you will also have the opportunity to earn Power Slates, which can be used to improve the character’s attributes. For example, Kalima’s “Jerk” ability allows her to make small quantum jumps on the map twice before needing to recharge. By adding Power Slate to this ability, you can increase it to three jerks during the recovery time. Players can equip three Power Slates to any of the eight characters, which allows you to configure many parameters.

Larcenauts is available for the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift headsets for $ 29.99, with support for both cross-play and cross-purchase.
