Competition Empik Go STORY rules Promotion prize prize

In the first edition of the Empik Go story competition, more than 500 entries were submitted for the audio script. The organizers and the jury were surprised by the number and high quality of the works. Based on the winning script of Anna Robak-Reczek selected in the first edition of the competition, the audio series “The Game of Luiza”was created. The production with Aleksandra Linda, Bogusław Linda and Dawid Ogrodnik became the most popular title this summer – in July it was the most listened to audio production in the application. At the same time, they continued to work on the audio series and the book adaptation of “the game of Luiza”, which will be published by W. A. B. in September this year.

A contract for the production of an audio series with a stellar cast and a cash prize are not the only benefits of participating in the competition organized by Empik go. The leader in the digital content market ensures the reach and promotion of the title across multiple channels simultaneously-on, in the mobile application, which is used by 250 thousand users every month, as well as in the entire ecosystem of the Empik brand. The support that the winner will receive also applies to the entire production and scriptwriting facilities. Empik go team provides script development of all episodes of the first season of the series and production of the highest quality, with the participation of the cast of the acting first league.

– Our goal is to find and appreciate the best creators. We already have evidence that the audio series in Empik go can open the way to film screenings or publishing a book in traditional paper form. We encourage to participate in the competition those who are looking for a way to exist in the market of culture and entertainment. We want to build relationships with authors, discover and support the most talented-says Paweł Heba, creative director Empik go.

The jury of the second edition of the competition includes Anna Dziewit-Meller (writer and journalist), Wojciech Chmielarz (crime writer and journalist), łukasz muszyński (film journalist, deputy editor-in-chief of the filmweb portal) and Katarzyna Franus (literary manager at Empik go). It is they who will decide which of the submitted works will be the most inspiring and intriguing. The task of the judges is to read all the works and to select exceptional people who will be invited to further cooperation.

The first edition of the Empik Go story competition showed that participation in the scriptwriting competition does not have to mean only an award in the form of audio production. Anna Robak-Reczek proved that the text can be multidimensional enough to create a novel based on it. “The game of Luiza” in the format of a traditional paper book will be released on September 15 by the publishing house W. A. B., and another 7 titles will debut on the publishing market in 2021.

– The first edition of the Empik go story competition opened us an even wider channel of communication with the creators. Many of them appeared on our track for the first time. We want to maintain relationships with many of them. In addition to the winning project, we are working on further titles, which will be published in the form of an audiobook, ebook, book in print on demand, audiobook or TV series. This is an additional feature of the competition-an overview of talents on the Polish market. Interesting creators who do not qualify for the final of the competition can be invited to cooperate on market terms-adds Pawel Heba.

The main prize in the Empik go story competition is 15 000 PLN and an agreement with Empik go for the script of the entire audio series, for a fee. The winners of the Empik go short competition have a chance for 5,000 zlotys and a literary workshop of Małgorzata Warda, during which they will work together on their texts. In both competitions texts can be submitted until October 31. Just fill out the form on or the competition is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
