This week, the Berlin electronics and appliances fair opens its doors.

It is the week of all superlatives that begins in Berlin, with the IFA, the major European trade fair dedicated to electronics and household appliances. Connectivity and finesse are two of the key words of the season.

TVs, PCs and smartphones are getting thinner and thinner. The technological specificities of these machines are increasingly advanced. Smartphone manufacturers are racing for the quality of the photo sensor and the duration of battery use. In TVs, Ultra HD is now the norm, while HDR (for more contrast) is also spreading. LG and Panasonic continue to distinguish themselves from the market leader, Samsung, by betting on Oled displays. LG’s Oled displays are “thick as three credit cards”.
