The SXSW 2022 Festival and its XR Experience section begin
The South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) will also have a section dedicated to immersive content this year, XR Experience, for which a virtual world has been recreated in VRChat where we will find specific panels on the AR / VR experiences participating in the event this year and where meetings and conferences will also be held.
The festival is held physically in Austin (Texas), but many of its contents will be accessible online, as is the case of the XR Experience World. The host of this virtual world in this edition is Fluf World, a community created around NFT collectibles that we can use in an open metaverse ecosystem.
In addition to attending art exhibitions, film screenings and conferences, attendees will be able to try all kinds of different experiences. For example, HTC Vive has taken there some of the projects it showed at the MWC in Barcelona, such as the combination of its Vive Flow glasses with Holoride games designed to be lived while traveling by car. He will also return to show the short film The Sick Rose.
IF last year one of the events was the presentation of Finding Pandora X, an immersive theater experience, in this year’s edition the virtual star may be Breonna’s Garden, an augmented reality installation that premieres a new VR version that will be accessible from AltspaceVR from March 12.
